How should I dress?
FCF is a very casual atmosphere. You'll find people dressed very comfortably, many in jeans. We encourage you to dress in a way that is most comfortable for you.
What denomination is FCF?
FCF is a non-denominational church. We are a Christ-centered, Bible-believing church. Folks attending FCF come from a variety of denominations and spiritual backgrounds, including Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, and more. We follow and teach the foundational truths of the Christian faith as laid out in God's Word, the Bible.
What size church is FCF?
FCF averages about 1400 people on Sunday. This is the combined total of adults and children in both our 9 am and 11:15 am services.
Where do my kids go when I arrive?
We have this thing called a "kiosk" at FCF and that's where you "check-in" your child. Why would you need to do that? FOR YOUR CHILD'S SAFETY! Safety and security are a top priority to us. Children of all ages check-in when they arrive and receive a security tag and number. This number is used to page you if necessary during the service. You also use this security tag to pick up your child from their class when service is over, so that we know kids are going home with the right parents! When you arrive, Guest Central Volunteers are ready to assist you with this check-in process and to also walk you to your child's class.
Why doesn't FCF get involved in political issues?
The most important thing in the world is a person’s relationship with Jesus Christ. Therefore, we very carefully and deliberately avoid any unnecessary controversial issues so as to never create a synthetic barrier between that person and Christ who loves them. We purposefully avoid taking political stands or joining in coordinated demonstrations pertaining to issues such as abortion and homosexuality.
Why don't you sing hymns at FCF?
We do sing hymns - the hymns of today, that is. God has continued to inspire songwriters throughout time, right up to today. Music is the language of a person's soul. Therefore, we believe that the style and rhythm of music in church should be relevant and meaningful to the culture of the people. That's why the music at FCF has the same "sound" and "feel" as music people listen to on the radio today, with lyrics that focus us on the living God.
