Proverbs 26 [12] Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
James 3 [14] if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. [15] Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. [16] For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
Escape It
James 4 [6] "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." [7] Submit yourselves, then, to God. [8] Come near to God and he will come near to you. [10] Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
